'Tis' The Time to Celebrate With Joy!
November offers us to express thanks for the abundance in life as we gather and nourish ourselves with the bounty of life.
December brings us the celebration of sharing. Children enjoy the magical mystery of life as we shop, hide, and entertain a man in a jolly red suit. The Elf on the Shelf has the power to control our children because he reports back to Santa.
The marketing for this time of year is excellent. It's mainly about spending money to put a smile on our faces, for this time of year fills us with wonder no matter how old we are.
There is a glow during this time of year as we shop, wrap, cook, and prepare to be with family and friends. The excitement is in all the stores with the hustles and bustle of the season.
Many of us are mesmerized by the glitter that is bountiful. The house is all lit up, the children are excited, and decorations and Christmas trees are in our homes. We accept the marketing campaign that we all adhere to for as long as I can remember.
It is time to breathe in and be grateful for the abundance in our lives and set limits now that we know the propaganda that has served us well. There are all different forms of lack in the world at this time: loss of a loved one, no money, homeless people, and loads of fear for many.
I write about Christmas because that is what I have celebrated for all the years I have been alive. But, if you celebrate another type of holiday:
May all your dreams and wishes come true.
May you be blessed with health and happiness.
Taking a moment to pray for the less fortunate and donating to a shelter or someone you know is a way of serving one another. Let us all give what we can to our fellow brothers and sisters in need this holiday season. It is always the thought that counts!
Light, Love, and Power, Linda

Thank you for the lovely wishes!
