Life can overwhelm everyone by the demands we place on ourselves at this time of year. Why do we project a particular way of being and doing for everyone? As a woman, I have many chores and love doing them, but sometimes I am tired of being me! Then the holidays arrive ...
The holiday season is best because I share and gift with everyone I love. To give is significant to me. I enjoy sending out cards, wrapping gifts, and receiving them. Life has to have these fun moments to bring joy into the season. The music, lights, and the wonder of my grandchildren are fulfilling.
I miss those I have lost through the years, but hold their memories tightly in my heart. To reflect on the holiday season from my past warms me—so many beautiful times with family and friends that are no more.
The season's wonder is the joy we hold in our hearts for one another. No one can take our memories from us to reflect on as part of this life experience. Please remember and smile at the great times and make new ones this year. Each of us is here to enjoy every moment of life.
